Mr. & Mrs.

Another GREAT card night last night!

Last night, I had 7 girls attend my card class (2 girls brought a friend). We had a blast! Most everyone that attended last night, live around my block and we decided to make it a girls night. Most of them also have babies and it becomes a night without kids! We all enjoy a glass of wine, but last night I made Sangria and so did one of the girls that attended!

We made 4 cards again and I'm very proud of them! The card I am featuring today took me awhile to think of. I bought the Mr. & Mrs. stamp when the catalogue first went live in May and I hadn't used it until thinking of a wedding card to make for my stamp class. I usually use "Happy I do Day" for a lot of my wedding cards because I think it is a cute sentiment, but I was really trying hard to stay away from it this time.

I am going to give a list of all that was used for this card. I will start doing that for all the cards I create and put up on the blog!

Cardstock: Temping Turquoise, Whisper White
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Stamps: Mr. &Mrs. pg 39
Accessories: Apothecary Accents Framelits, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

I will be featuring a card from this class on the blog until our next class on Setember 19th. I will also be showing another Sneak Peek for that class.

If you would like to attend, check out the upcoming events page and RSVP before Sept 14th!

Sneak Peek

I've been busy this week creating cards for the next class. My little boy is moving around so fast now that I have to cram card making in his nap times. I'm soon going to have to close my craft room door just to keep him from getting into trouble!

I love all the bird stamps in the new catalogue. I used the Take Care stamp set for this card. I was going to CASE it from the catalogue (check out page 90). They built a paper nest using strips of card stock, but I liked how the card turned out without the paper nest.

This is a sneak peek of one of the cards we will be creating at the next class. The sentiment used on the card is from Petite Pairs and I used the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder. Baja Breeze is one of my favorite colors and I used that as the main color throughout the card!

Orders are in!

On Tuesday, the first order from my very first class arrived. I love when packages are delivered to the door.

I made Thank-You cards for all the girls that placed orders to Thank them for placing an order with me.

All the the cardstock and ribbon used for the cards are retired. I didn't like the color Poppy Parade for a long time, but just before it was about to retire (and during Sale-A-Bration) I bought a pack of just that color because it went with the Designer Paper and Ribbon.

I have updated my retired stamp sets from my post a week ago. If you would like to purchase any of the ones listed, you can email me at alicia_ring@hotmail.com.

Whooo's One?

The front cover. I fixed the middle owl's eye.
About a month and a bit ago, Aubrey went to his very first First Birthday Party! I had a very hard time trying to figure out what to get for a one year old since I also had never attended a First Birthday party. After some convincing from my mom, I decided to make a scrapbook as the gift and use the theme of her birthday for each page.
Pennant Punch

Penguin was created using the Owl Punch. This
page said Who's Birthday? The next page said
Whitney's!
Celebrate!

Create-A-Cupcake & Coordinating Punch
I cut out the candles and embossed them.
The Flames were cut out using the Bird Punch Wings!
Holding the banner
Using the paper from throughout the book.
Cake was made with different size papers and
the corner rounder punch. I used Stickles for the
 glitter.
Create- A-Cupcake again!
Made by ME!
I was very proud when I finished the book. I loved every page! I ended up buying a blue book after because I'm going to create one for Aubrey in the future!
