"Royal" Wedding Card

People around the world will all have there televisions tuned to the Royal Wedding probably all day. My mental alarm clock told me to get up this morning at 4:52am and because I couldn't get back to sleep, I turned my tv on and watched as all the Royals entered Westminster Abbey. I think I may be a bit tired by the end of the day (our summer hours start today at work and I have to go in early), but I think it was all worth it. Like most women around the world, I was most excited to see what her dress looked like and I was not disappointed!

I have decided to post a card I made a few months ago for a wedding. This card feature the Manhattan Flowers embossing folder and it stands out more on this card because the raised up part of the card is painted by hand with Shimmer Paint! After handpainting all this card needed were a few pearls and the stamp "Happy I do day" from the Wordplay set.

You can find all these products on the online store! I hope everyone enjoys the wedding today and "Happy I do Day" to the Royal Couple!

Heartfelt Thanks Swap

Here is a card I made for a swap I participated in at the last meeting my upline held. This is an embossing folder I didn't think I would ever like, but when I started to see what other people were doing with it I had to try. Embossing folders were the first things, I started to really like when I first started "Stampin Up" and they continue to impress me. Stampin Up comes out with new folders almost every Mini Catalogue and I usually buy them with my first order.

The stamp set used for the main image is "Elements of Style". I know I've said it before, but true passion is for creating Vintage type cards and this image pulled me right in.

Right now until the end of April, Stampin' Up has a promotion called "Spring is Blossoming. If you buy any Stampin' up product over 25$ you can buy this stamp set. This is also what is used for the sentiment at the bottom. The Four Frames stamp set coordinates with the decorative label punch. Dancing Penguins!

Ok....so I broke down and bought the owl punch! and I didn't think I'd have soo much fun playing with it! I made these cute penguins that I've been seeing all over Stampin' Connection and thought it was soo cute!

For these little guys, I cut the ears off the owl and used the bird punch wings for their wings! The cloud paper I had from another company! And the snow...well I cut that out free hanf and traced the upper part of it with the two-way glue pen and sprinkled some glitter on it!

Here is a closer look:

I LOVE IT! I thought this card could be used for a kids birthday or invitation to one!

Rock 'n Roll

This card uses the stamp set "Eastern Blooms". I love how the colors came together. I used the Rock 'N Roll technique.

This technique is when you stamp your image in a color (I used Rich Razzelberry) and then roll the edges of the stamp in another color (Pacific Point). That gives the edges almost that bleeding color look to it!

I also used lots of mini pearls on the flowers! They're another favorite of mine!

Bright Babies

I love Fox & Friends for Baby cards! All the little animals are soo cute! For these two cards I used a some retired colors, paper, ribbon and stamp sets.

I have many friends having babies this year and I needed to keep cards on hand!

The little girl card uses the colors Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry (retired 2009-2010 color) & Pumpkin Pie.

The little boy card uses Chocolate Chip, Bermuda Bay (retired 2009-2010 color) & Kiwi Kiss (retired 2008-2009 color). Both cards are stamped with the sentiment "Bundle of Joy" which was a stamp set from last years Occasion Mini called "Little Angel." I also made another version of these cards using Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Baja Breeze for a neutral baby card! Fox & Friends has to be my most used stamp set!

I have more cards to show you in the next few weeks. Life has been busy here and it hard for me to just sit on the computer and blog! Plus, today was +10 and beautiful out, so we spent a lot of time outdoors!
