Forever & Always

This week I was in the mood to make cards and I've actually finished quite a few. When my husband works night shifts, I get a lot done.

I know I'm always saying that I love pretty much all the cards that I make, but I really do! That's why I'm soo glad I became a Stampin' Up demonstrator. I love their product and it's soo much fun coming up with great new ideas!

I've been trying to think of new ways to create Wedding cards and last week I went through a few of my stamp sets that I bought when I first fell in love with Stampin' Up. I don't use "Everything Nice" that often, but when I do, it always turns out the way I envisioned it.

This card uses a lot of different products that Stampin' Up offers. I used the "Bliss" stamp set from the Sale-a-bration promotion going on now behind "to Have & To Hold". The Crumb cake CC is embossed with the Elegant Lines embossing folder. Victoria Crochet Trim is at the bottom of the card and to top it all off there are mini pearls to fill in the dots!

Soon, I will be updating my blog with Calendar events. It will show all the events I will be offering.  Sometimes they will just be drop in (if you feel like being creative, stop by my place) and if you want to host a "Girls Night" you can give me a call or email and I will prepare everything for you!

Next week, I am demonstrating a baby card to a few demonstrators at my Uplines place! I'm a bit nervous because this is the first time I will be getting up in front of people and showing them a card that I created. I will post again and let you know how that went!!! Wish me luck!

Wishful Thinking

Another Springtime blog! I can't wait for spring to arrive. Last Friday it was beautiful. The temperature was +14 and I enjoyed everybit of sunshine.. I'm sooo ready for Spring!

This card uses the growing green set from the 2010-2011 catalogue. I watercolored the flowers using markers and an aquapainter. I really enjoy watercoloring when it turns our right. It was something I liked to do when I was in highschool as well.

When watercoloring you should always use StazOn ink. StazOn is a permanent ink that won't "bleed" when using water. You should also use watercolor paper. It prevents the paper from pilling or curling when using too much water.

I hope this blog brought springtime thoughts to your mind... and lets wish for an early spring!

You mean the World to me!

Well I'm a bit late with the Valentine's Day post I promised, but I think everyone will like this project!

I CASED this card from someone on Stampin' Connection, but I can no longer find the link to give credit to them! Immediately when I saw this layout, I knew I had to try it.

The cardstock used for this card is Cherry cobbler and Newsprint DSP. The Newsprint DSP has soo many different layouts. Each side has a different print. Some look like old books, others have numbers, but this awesome piece has a printout of the Globe. I cut the piece to fit each side of the cardstock. Then I cut a 1/2 inch pice of cardstock just over double the width of the card (about 9 inches) and wrapped it around the card and stuck it together with sticky strip I did the same thing with the sparkly ribbon.

The sentiment uses the stamp set Word Play and I punched it out useing the Decorative Label punch and then layered some sparkly paper on either side! The sentiment works soo well with the DSP.

On the inside of the card, I placed a picture of our engagement photos with some photo corners. I would use these all the time when creating scrapbooks because I could move the pictures around if I liked. Behind the picture I a note I wrote my husband for Valentine's Day!

Enough about cards...today is +14. My husband and I went out for lunch after he picked me up from work (I left early today). I was walking around in just a sweater and it felt awesome. Then we got home and decided that we need a little more fresh air and took the dogs on a nice walk around the block! I really can't wait for spring!

In other news, my husband and I finally bought a house here in Ottawa. We are really excited. The house is being built right now, so we can't move in until the fall!

Have a wonderful weekend!
