Well I'm a bit late with the Valentine's Day post I promised, but I think everyone will like this project!
I CASED this card from someone on Stampin' Connection, but I can no longer find the link to give credit to them! Immediately when I saw this layout, I knew I had to try it.
The cardstock used for this card is Cherry cobbler and Newsprint DSP. The Newsprint DSP has soo many different layouts. Each side has a different print. Some look like old books, others have numbers, but this awesome piece has a printout of the Globe. I cut the piece to fit each side of the cardstock. Then I cut a 1/2 inch pice of cardstock just over double the width of the card (about 9 inches) and wrapped it around the card and stuck it together with sticky strip I did the same thing with the sparkly ribbon.
The sentiment uses the stamp set Word Play and I punched it out useing the Decorative Label punch and then layered some sparkly paper on either side! The sentiment works soo well with the DSP.
On the inside of the card, I placed a picture of our engagement photos with some photo corners. I would use these all the time when creating scrapbooks because I could move the pictures around if I liked. Behind the picture I a note I wrote my husband for Valentine's Day!

Enough about cards...today is +14. My husband and I went out for lunch after he picked me up from work (I left early today). I was walking around in just a sweater and it felt awesome. Then we got home and decided that we need a little more fresh air and took the dogs on a nice walk around the block! I really can't wait for spring!
In other news, my husband and I finally bought a house here in Ottawa. We are really excited. The house is being built right now, so we can't move in until the fall!
Have a wonderful weekend!
