First Birthday's

One of Aubrey's first friends celebrated her First Birthday yesterday and we were so excited that we couldn't wait until her party. We made this card especially for her and it just had to have cupcakes on it because it matched the theme to her gift!

The colors used for the card are Pool Party, Summer Starfruit and Rich Razzleberry! I have retired ribbon that I refuse to get rid of because I love it so much and I use it all the time. This ribbon is from the 2009 catalogue...I don't normally hold onto things so long if they are not being used often, but when it comes to craft supplies, I always feel I can use it for something.

I used the International Bazzar Designer Paper and Create-A-Cupcake stamp set and Punch (another coordinating stamp set and punch)!! The scallop circle was cut out using the Big shot and the Scallop Circle Duo Bigz (which I just noticed is retired as well.)

For all the products on the card, please check out my online store. You can also join us on August 28th for out next class.

We had so much fun watching Zoey open her gift and can't wait to party with her on Saturday!

Success

First of all, I want to thank some wonderful girls who persuaded me to start up with Stampin' Up again! The girls in my life are AWESOME. They are all very creative and I can't wait to see where this takes us all in our creativity!

I also want to thank my upline for giving me the confidence that I can do this! I have so many ideas for future classes and how to share what I love!

And another huge thank you to my husband, for taking good care of our beautiful baby boy while I had a great night Stampin'.

Class started last night with some fun conversation and WINE and ended with everyone excited for the August Class... which BTW is on August 28th at 7pm if anyone out there feels like joining! I like to call the cards we made the 4 B's: Baby, Birthday, Beer & Butterfly.

As you can see, I was well prepared and very excited/ nervous to host my first class (even Aubrey was excited).

A lot of the cards were embossed using the big shot and I think I got everyone comfortable using it. I love all the embossing folders that Stampin' Up offers. They add great tecture to any card. I have to say they are probably my favorite thing in the catalogue! We also used some punches! Especially on the beer card. It is so easy to create a card like that with the different circle punches.

I don't want to forget to mention that the Holiday Catalogue is available to order from as of August 1, 2012. The holiday catalogue runs from August 1 - Jan 2, 2013 and it has a variety of great coordinating products! I will have a link to the holiday catalogue on August 1st. I'm also going to be creating a Christmas Card & Tag class in the near future.

Don't be afraid to click on the pictures. They will become larger and you can see more of the detail if you do!

I'm Back!

My blog is finally back up and running! So sorry I've been away for awhile, but life got pretty hectic after my last post!
I'm now a new mom to a happy 5 month old baby boy named Aubrey. Just before my last post, I found out we were pregnant with our first child. He makes our whole world!
Anyways, back to what I came on here to write about.
I became a demonstrator again and I'm very happy and nervous to be hosting my first class next week! Some great girls asked me to host a class for them and I was happy to oblige. So, stay tuned in the future for more pics and tips on cards I will be making!

Biker Dad's

Both my father and my husband's father own Harley's and love to ride. I bought this stamp set last year because I knew I could get a lot of use out of it! This year, I wanted to make Father Day cards with them and decided to go a bit rustic.

This card uses Soft Suede and Early Espresso cardstock along with the Newsprint DSP. I roughed up the edges, used some vintage brads and "VOILA"

We are celebrating Father's Day a bit early this year because we are heading to Florida next week for a nice vacation. I can't wait!

If you need to know about any more Stampin' Up products, take a look at the online store.

Retired Birthday Butterflies

I AM SO EXCITED! So today is June 1st... yes I know...stating the obvious...but for a Stampin' Up demonstrator today is almost like Christmas!

On June 1st, the Stampin' Up retired stamp & accessory lists become available to everyone, but for Stampin' up demonstrators, we get to peek at some of the stuff that will be in the new catalogue as of July 1st! I've been drooling over some of the stuff! I just have to say, it's going to be fantastic!

Here is a card I created a while ago for a certain someones birthday coming up. She knows how much I love butterflies. The product on this card is mostly retired, but I love to show it anyways. Lately I have lost my inspiration to create new cards, so this one is CASE'd as well, but I did change it up a bit.

Colors used are Kiwi Kiss, Bermuda Bay, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy. The ribbon on this card will be retiring come June 30th.

Sail into the Sunset

Today's card was CASE'd from Mary Brown. I'm still playing around with the Sail Away stamp that I purchased from the summer mini and just had to try this sunset out!

The sunset was sponged using pumpkin pie and crushed curry ink. I made a template using a Post It note. Soo simple!

Another cool thing that I completely forgot about, and again learned from Mary Brown is masking the sails. I stamped the image twice, once on the card and another time on a white piece of card stock. Then I cut the sails out and pasted them over the other!

You can check out Mary's blog here!

Sail Away to Halifax

It has been soo long since I blogged!

My husband and I went to Halifax a week ago for a good friend's wedding. We had a great time there and ate A LOT of great food... we certainly didn't go hungry! While my husband and I were driving along the coast one day, we got talking about retirement and the future (yes, I know that's soo far off, but its good to dream). My husband wants to live on a street called Lobster Lane and it's soo funny because we have seen that street in NB as well as in Peggy's Cove!

The card above was brought to life after our trip there. When we arrived home, I had some goodies waiting for me and couldn't wait to try them out. I debated over whether to buy the striped grosgain ribbon and finally did (now I need more).

For the card above, I used Sale Away stamp set (from the new Summer Mini), Teeny Tiny Wishes and the Medallion background stamp. Also used was the Tag Punch, Brads and Twine.

Here are a few pictures of us in and around Nova Scotia!
