Today is brother's Birthday. He turns 26 and he will be celebrating his Birthday in the Maritimes! I made this card for him. My brother has been in British Columbia training with the Navy for the past year and he graduated last week! I am so proud of him and very happy that he is finally close to home.

I made the card above for my brother's Birthday. It is very simple, mostly because I find it hard to make masculine cards, but the patterned paper is his style. The paper is called Howlstooth & Scaringbone and you can find it in the Holiday Catalogue. All products are available until January 2nd, so be sure to get the products you love before then.

Ink: Midnight Muse, Versamark.
Stamps: Greetings of the Season.
Accessories: Apothecary Framelits, Gold Embossing Powder, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder,

It has been a very busy week around here. I had my last card class of the Season on Tuesday and it was so much fun. I had a few new faces and it was great to show them the art of Stamping!

The card above was made in our class. It was a bit complicated and lots of techniques, but I really wanted to use this set. We embossed the Midnight Muse cardstock with Lacy Brocade embossing folder and then heat embossed the "First Christmas" set with gold embossing powder.

If anyone wants to join my classes in the New Year, I have the new dates on my Upcoming Events page!

Cardstock: Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla.
Ink: Pool Party, Crumb Cake.
Accessories: Scallop Edge border punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Dimensionals.
Friday night, I spent the evening making some cards and crafts with some great girls. It was great to catch up and make cards while enjoying each others company. I finally have some cards ready to send out, but I'm no where near close to the amount I need.

Today, I plan on decorating the house, and hopefully get it done in one day. We also want to go and see Santa sometime throughout the day. The month of December just flies by and I can't believe there is only 22 days left until Christmas!

There are 13 days left in the INK-redible promotion if you are thinking of buying yourself an early Christmas gift. Check out the link here!

Beautiful Birthday Girl

Stamps: Make A Cake, Made for You.
Cardstock: Blushing Bride (retired), Very Vanilla,
DSP: Beau Chateau (retired).
Ink: Blushing Bride (retired).
Accessories: Vintage Wallpaper, Labels Collection Framelits, Scallop Squares Duo Bigz, Scallop Oval Punch,
Large Oval Punch.
My Sister in law celebrated her birthday last weekend and I wanted to make her a pretty pink card! I had lots of Blushing Bride cardstock left from the 2010-2012 in Colors and decided that was the perfect pink to use! It was great to make a card that wasn't Christmas themed (although I really love Christmas cards).

The scalloped square is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then sponged with blushing bride ink.

I hope she had a wonderful Birthday in Toronto and celebrated the rest of the week in NYC! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Let it Snow

Stamps: Snowflake Soiree
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso.
Cardstock: Very Vanilla.
Accessories: Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, Linen Thread, Pearls.
Outside of Ottawa, there is a nice town in Mississippi Mills known as Almonte. When my husband and I first moved here, we liked to go to the town often because it was so pretty and we loved the little shops.

I have known about a store called Tin Barn Market for a few months now that is located in Almonte. It is a beautiful little store made up of Vintage, Salvaged and Handmade objects. I could've spent hours in the store! I bought an old picture frame that is going to look perfect in my craft corner. I can't wait to go back and look again.

While at the store, I noticed some handmade cards. All of them were beautiful and it gave me inspiration. Immediately, I came home and re-created a card I saw there. I changed up a few elements, but it turned out about the same. I didn't catch the name of who made the card so I can't give credit where credit is due, but whoever you are, your cards are beautiful.

The Northern Flurry embossing folder used on the card above is part of the Online Extravaganza.  Today is the last day to take advantage of the deals. Remember that you can order through my online store or place an order through me. Today is also a good day to take anvantage of the INK-redible promotion because you can get 10 Free ink pads with your discounted products!
